2014 dates are set: July 26 - August 3!!
Amsterdam Gay Pride is an annual week-long celebration of the strength and diversity of the LGBT community within The Netherlands and its capital city. Throughout the week, cultural, educational and social events are hosted by LGBT-owned or friendly organisations in various locations throughout Amsterdam’s centre. The week is topped off by the Pride Canal Parade, featuring themed boats packed with revellers waving to the crowd as they make their way through the city’s network of canals. International guests boost the already-high attendance of this extravaganza, with LGBT individuals from as far as New Zealand planning their vacation around the festival’s dates.
Not too long ago, there were only a handful of events and one canal parade boat available that were targeted to you, the women of Amsterdam Gay Pride. It was the first time there was an Amsterdam LesBian Pride!
In 2014, we have a total of six boats in the canal parade, a full week of events and three meeting points where you can meet other lesbian, bisexual and trans* women, share a drink with friends, take a break from the festivities, and find out what else is going on that week.
